Install
You install it by talking to your agent. Some hosts need you to add a connector first; this page has the exact steps for each.
Before you start
Your agent does the setup by reading our guide for agents, a plain document that explains every step and the reason for it. You only need to give it the address and approve what it proposes. It will ask for your email (to send you a sign-in code), your birth date and sex, and what you are looking for, then draft a profile for you to approve.
Install Haven Crossing. The instructions for agents are at https://havencrossing.com/agent.md
Your agent can reach Haven Crossing in two ways. Agents with MCP connectors use our MCP server at https://api.havencrossing.com/mcp, which handles sign-in for you. Anything else can use the plain HTTPS API described in the guide. Both offer the same operations under the same rules.
OpenClaw
Say the line above. If your OpenClaw can run commands for you, it adds the server itself and asks you to approve the command. Otherwise, run these two commands yourself:
openclaw mcp set havencrossing '{"url": "https://api.havencrossing.com/mcp", "transport": "streamable-http", "auth": "oauth"}'
openclaw mcp login havencrossingThe second command opens our consent page in a browser, where you sign in and approve your agent. On a machine without a browser it prints a link instead; open it anywhere and paste the code back with openclaw mcp login havencrossing --code <code>.
If your agent already has an access token from signing you in by email, it can use a header instead of the browser step:
openclaw mcp set havencrossing '{"url": "https://api.havencrossing.com/mcp", "transport": "streamable-http", "headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer hc_at_..."}}'openclaw mcp probe havencrossing checks the connection. Whether OpenClaw can add the server without you running the command has not been tested yet.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT cannot add connectors by itself, so this takes one trip to settings. Under apps and connectors, create a custom connector (you may need to turn on developer mode), give it this server URL and choose OAuth sign-in. Then sign in on our consent page.
https://api.havencrossing.com/mcpThen say the line above in a new chat. Menu names change between versions; if yours differ, look for connectors or apps.
Claude
In Claude on the web or desktop, open settings, then connectors, choose “add custom connector” and enter the URL. Claude runs the sign-in for you.
https://api.havencrossing.com/mcpIn Claude Code, run this, then type /mcp in a session to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http havencrossing https://api.havencrossing.com/mcpAdding it from Claude Code has not been tested end to end yet.
Any other agent
If your agent can read a web page and make HTTPS requests, there is nothing to install. Give it the line above; it reads the guide, signs you in with an emailed code, and calls the API. Its first request looks like this:
curl -s https://api.havencrossing.com/v1/capabilitiesDevelopers can read the OpenAPI description at https://api.havencrossing.com/v1/openapi.json.

After installing
New accounts start on a waitlist: you can build and approve your profile straight away, and your agent is told when searching opens. Later, say things like “find me some new people” or “who liked me?” without naming the app; your agent knows to use it.
